In The Morning
Keeping your baby awake is probably the most important thing to do on the morning of your photoshoot. Try to keep them awake for at least an hour before you leave, give them a full feed just before leaving, this gives baby plenty of time on the way to the studio to digest their milk and bring up any wind they may have. Baby may well need a top up of milk on arrival to the studio, but they should go straight back to sleep after this allowing us to get some beautiful sleepy images.
If bottle feeding then please bring extra feeds, at least 2 more than baby would usually have.
If breastfeeding, try to avoid any caffeine that morning and avoid any spicy foods the night before.
During The Session
Our session are always very relaxed, usually taking around 2-3 hours for a full photoshoot. There will be plenty of time between photos for feeding and cuddles. A dummy can also be really helpful with settling babies when repositioning them, even if youre not planning to use one going forward, it can make a huge difference to getting the perfect shots.
What To Wear
Try to wear neutral colours, preferbaly whites, creams, grays etc. Avoid any large logos on clothing. The studio is kept very warm to help settle baby so dress in layers to make sure you are comfortable on the day.
Dress baby in a easy to remove grow and no vest on the morning of your photoshoot.
